T-Ball

Once players are assigned to a team, you will receive an “invite” email from TeamSnap. Be sure to download the TeamSnap app on your smartphone and check your email for team information. Coaches will use TeamSnap to communicate important details related to games, practices, weather, and more.

**Program Focus:**
The T-Ball program emphasizes introducing players to hitting, fielding, and the fundamentals of baseball, all in a fun and safe environment. Auburn City Recreation is dedicated to providing a positive experience for all players, coaches, and spectators. All players are guaranteed playing time.

**Equipment:**
Children only need to bring a glove to participate. Shirts will be provided for each player. Coaches will have helmets and bats available. Players may bring their own equipment if they prefer; it is highly recommended that any personal items be labeled. Players must wear tennis shoes or cleats (no metal spikes). Sandals, flip-flops, or open-toed footwear are not allowed.

**Game Schedule:**
Games are typically scheduled on Monday and Thursday evenings in May. Please note that games are generally not rescheduled due to rain or heat, and players will be informed of any cancellations via TeamSnap as soon as possible.

**Coaches:**
If you are interested in coaching, please indicate "yes" in the corresponding box on the TeamSnap registration form or contact the T-Ball Commissioner. A coaches meeting will take place in April, and coaches will reach out to players through the TeamSnap app once teams are finalized.

**Snacks:**
Each coach will decide whether to provide snacks and drinks after each game.

**Photos:**
A picture night will be organized during the season for teams and players. Ordering photos is
optional, and the date for photo night will be communicated prior to the season.

**Practices:**
Coaches are strongly encouraged to hold practices before the season begins.
